Meetings Excellence! (ME!) Training

Marriott created the Meetings Excellence! program in 2008 to educate third party group intermediaries about the growing meetings industry and Marriott’s brands, programs and services. Meetings Excellence! is an online training program that provides accredited group partners with a comprehensive introduction to the meetings industry, as well as strategies for planning successful meetings. Meeting professionals will also learn the newest innovations about Marriott’s hotel brands and meeting services.

Upon successful completion of Meetings Excellence!, you will be a certified Marriott Meeting Professional. Eligible graduates receive exclusive access to Plan-Tastic rates, a printable wall certificate, CEUs towards CMP application or CMP recertification, and Group Partner News, featuring newly opened and renovated hotels, promotions, Marriott-related news and much more!

The Meetings Excellence! training is accessible via a new/enhanced platform. The Core and optional training modules can be found via the Meetings Excellence! dashboard. Log in to https://meetings-excellence.marriott.com/home and from the top of your dashboard at the top right, click the “?” icon to view a site tour on how to access the training as well as a quick tour of other features available on your ME! dashboard.

No, the training has been designed to allow meeting professionals the flexibility to choose their own learning journey. To satisfy the requirements for the Core training, complete one module from the Introduction section, 2 modules from the Brands Training section and three modules from the Foundational Training section. There are also optional modules in the Supplemental Modules section to help meeting professionals strengthen their industry knowledge.

Yes. The training is accessible from most web-enabled devices and browsers (see the next FAQ of this document for the complete list). Meeting professionals can learn at their own pace by stopping and restarting the training seamlessly.

No. The updated ME! training is accessible on the following browsers and devices. The website and training will adapt to any web-enabled device the agent is using.

On average, users take just under two hours to complete the Core ME! training.

The status that displays under the Core training icon updates based on your completion of the training assessments at the end of each training module. The "Not Started" status on your dashboard is an indicator that the assessment was not attempted/completed. Upon successful completion of the assessment, the status under the Core icon on the dashboard will update to “Completed” and a certificate displays in the ME! Curriculum pane next to the title of the completed module(s). If you do not successfully complete the assessment, the progress gauge on the ME! Curriculum pane will display at 85% complete, and the status under the Core training icon on the dashboard will display as “Partially Completed”.

Marriott will use your email address to send you important updates about your Meetings Excellence! account. Your email address, should you opt in, will also be used to send you Group Partner News, the exclusive e-Newsletter for graduates of Meetings Excellence!.

The Plan-Tastic Program

Plan-Tastic is offered as an exclusive benefit to qualified third-party group intermediaries who have successfully completed the Meetings Excellence! training and are employed by an accredited group intermediary (ARC/IATA/IATAN/TIDS/CLIA). Plan-Tastic rates allow meeting professionals to familiarize themselves with Marriott’s properties and brands to better recommend them to their customers. The Plan-Tastic rate is a yieldable discounted rate which varies by brand and is subject to availability. Qualifying meeting professionals are eligible to book Plan-Tastic stays (maximum four nights per stay) at participating hotels. Plan-Tastic rates are good for stays at thousands of participating Marriott properties in more than 80 countries and territories worldwide. Plan-Tastic reservations must be made in advance and can only be made via marriott.com/grouppartners. Log in with your MI Partner Privileges credentials. If you meet the requirements to qualify for the Plan-Tastic rate, the booking page will appear, and you may continue to search and book your Plan-Tastic reservation. View your Meetings Excellence! dashboard to confirm your eligibility.

If you meet the requirements to access Plan-Tastic, the booking page will appear, and you may continue to search and book your Plan-Tastic reservation. Please note that only graduates meeting the necessary requirements to access Plan-Tastic will be able to access the Plan-Tastic booking page. To see if you are eligible, please log in to your Meetings Excellence! dashboard.

Plan-Tastic reservations are not bookable via the hotel directly or through Marriott's worldwide Customer Engagement Centers.

Sign into www.marriott.com/grouppartners and enter your ARC, IATA, TIDS or CLIA number to access the Plan-Tastic booking page, then select "Find & Reserve".  Select the link “Lookup Reservation” and enter the criteria to locate your reservation.  Once you have located your reservation, select the “cancel room” option. 

In order to ensure your Plan-Tastic stay is credited back to your profile, please do not cancel Plan-Tastic reservations through the confirmation email, your Marriott Bonvoy account, the Marriott Bonvoy app, or over the phone with reservations or the property. If you are having trouble or need additional assistance, please contact Intermediary Partner Care at 1-800-445-1551, option 3.

A maximum of one room per stay may be booked at the Plan-Tastic rate.

Meeting professionals will need to present a valid photo identification that matches the name on the reservation. Meeting professionals affiliated with company locations outside the United States must also present an employment verification letter on company letterhead from an accredited group intermediary or a business card matching the name on the reservation.

The Plan-Tastic rate may be booked for a maximum of four nights per stay.

All brands across Marriott’s portfolio except the Design Hotels and the Ritz-Carlton Yacht brands participate in the Fam-Tastic program. Please note that Plan-Tastic rates are yieldable and subject to availability.

If you need to update your name on your MI Partner Privileges profile, please email mipartnerprivileges@marriott.com or contact Intermediary Partner Care at 1-800-831-3100, Option 5, or worldwide at 1-402-390-1651, and a specialist will assist you in updating your profile to reflect your name change. The name on your profile must match the name on your IATA/IATAN/CLIA Card and/or photo identification and reservation at check-in. Name changes must include supporting legal documentation, signature, date, and account email address.

MI Partner Privileges profile name changes may take up to four hours to display the updated name when booking a new reservation. Please allow four hours before booking a new reservation on www.marriott.com/grouppartners.

Visit www.marriott.com/grouppartners to access the Plan-Tastic booking page. Check availability for the location of your preference at the Plan-Tastic rate. If you can book at the Plan-Tastic rate, you will need to cancel your original reservation.

As long as you have completed the Core training requirement, there is no further training completion required and you may continue to enjoy your Plan-Tastic benefits.

No. If you have completed the Core training requirement, you will continue to receive Plan-Tastic rate benefits. The supplemental modules are optional.

Maintaining Meetings Excellence! Benefits

Yes. Qualified meeting professionals must access their Dashboard at meetings-excellence.marriott.com and update their MI Partner Privileges profile information. Failure to complete this requirement will result in loss of Plan-Tastic or other ME! benefits.

Note: Newly-registered US-based meeting professionals should allow 24 hours from creating their ME! profile for validation by IATAN before booking their Plan-Tastic reservations.

Yes, please ensure that your MI Partner Privileges profile is up-to-date so that you can continue to receive exclusive Marriott Meeting Professional benefits. You can update your profile as often as you like on the Profile page of your Meetings Excellence! Dashboard at meetings-excellence.marriott.com.
